WELCOME TO THE MINT HILL DEMS!
WELCOME TO THE MINT HILL DEMS!
Too often, people in Mint Hill feel isolated or assume their voices do not matter. Please know you are not alone! There are thousands of Democrats and Democratic leaning independents living right here with more folks arriving every day as Mint Hill grows.
Join with us. Here are some things you can do:

WHO WE ARE
The Mint Hill Dems are a division of the Mecklenburg County Democratic Party, which is governed by the North Carolina Democratic Party. We represent the six voting precincts in Mint Hill plus a small part of Charlotte in unincorporated Mecklenburg County. We are a diverse and growing group of your Mint Hill neighbors, friends, families, young and old alike, from all walks of life, who believe Mint Hill’s future is shaped by those who show up.
As Mint Hill grows so does our movement and we NEED YOU! Democrats are the party of progress but progress only happens when people organize, vote, and lead together and history shows that when we participate, we win.
WE SHOW UP AND THIS IS HOW:
We knock on doors
We go door to door, talk to voters and drop leaflets during election season
We send postcards
We host monthly gatherings
We organize weekly protests
We help distribute candidates' signs before the General Election
We set up and staff the Early Voting Tent at the designated Mint Hill Early Voting Location (2026 location TBD)
We set up and staff Day of Voting Tents at our local polling locations where allowed.
And we are planning many more local actions that bring people together and keep momentum moving forward such as neighborhood organizing, coffee meetups, Mint Hill Dems Family Day, Car Pools to local Dem events (like when Kamala was in town), and community service wearing our new T-shirts (see shop tab).
We need help to set up booths at festivals where allowed, we need volunteers to attend Mint Hill Commission meetings and other local governmental meetings such as planning and zoning, we need folks to monitor local Facebook groups to see what's going on such as the Chamber of Commerce, women's groups, men's groups, church groups.
We need to be an intregal party of the Mint Hill Community, and not just a separate group looking in. Whether you grew up around here or just arrived, we need everyone to help us become part of the fabric of Mint Hill! Contact your precinct chair or send an email to minthilldems@gmail.com and let us know what you would like to do.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is simple and powerful: build community, connect with residents who care about the direction of our town, county, state and country. We get out the vote in Mint Hill. We mobilize voters by talking with neighbors about the issues that matter most. This is more than a campaign cycle. It’s a movement rooted in participation, persistence, and belief in what Mint Hill can be. But we cannot do this alone. We need each and everyone of you to step up and help out in some way, big or small or by donating to us to help us to do what we do.
HELP US BUILD OUR COALITION
The economy should work for everyone
Health care is a right
Our diversity is our strength
Democracy is worth defending
We believe in equal protections for all
Investing in strong public schools, supporting teachers, and ensuring every child has access to a quality education.
Protecting our environment and safeguarding clean air and water for future generations.
We believe in equal pay for equal work, raising the minimum wage, and creating good‑paying, quality jobs.
This is our town. This is our moment. And we’re just getting started.
